THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the therapeutic orientation with the most scientific evidence supporting it. As a CBT therapist I help you identify how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and figure out what we can do to make those connections work for your child and family. I also integrate Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a form of play therapy, into my work. I am passionate about teaching skills you can apply in everyday life.

THERAPY TECHNIQUES I TEACH
I will tailor the techniques you learn to the unique obstacles your family faces. Generally, I teach behavioral management skills to help manage disruptive behavior, thought challenging and behavioral activation skills to combat difficulties with mood, and exposure therapy and coping skills to combat diffiulties with anxiety.

FUN FACTS
In my free time, I love to travel with my wife (we have been to over 30 countries), cheer on Michigan and NC State Football (I got my B.A. from NC State), and serve as my wife's assistant photographer (She has been published in the New York Times and Vogue)! I also adore my family and love spending every second I can watching movies, eating great food, and laughing with them.
